Finding the Right Flying Dress Experience
We’ve all heard and seen these gorgeous flying dress photoshoots all across social media. When I heard there were flying dress photoshoots offered in Jamaica, I had to look into it. I began searching EVERYWHERE. My search ended on Instagram because that’s where I originally discovered these photoshoots. There were a few options to choose from but when I came across Her Dress Jamaica, I knew this was the one. The featured edits were all gorgeous. They offered so many dress colors and locations to choose from.
We booked with HerDress Jamaica for a flying dress photoshoot in Montego Bay Jamaica. I filled out an inquiry form on www.HerDressJamaica.com. Chrisan Hunter stayed in contact with us and made sure to answer all questions we had about the photoshoot. We were able to select from a variety of professional photographers. This was the hardest part of the whole experience because they were all so good based on their portfolios. We finally decided to go with Donovan. We selected the “round trip pick-up/drop-off” and the “professional MUA” add-ons.
The Flying Dress Photoshoot
Our driver picked us up bright and early from our resort and drove us to our selected MUA (makeup artist) Nikae’s studio. Nikae is good at what she does because I left feeling like a queen. Mind you, this was my very first full face makeup session so I had no idea what to expect. I also learned a few MUA tricks while there. (Ask about the Milk of Magnesium cheat code.)
After our driver drove us to Pineapple Beach to meet with Chisan and our photographer, Donovan. The location was gorgeous. The water, the rocks, the beach, and palm trees are just WOW!! Upon arriving at the site, we finally met with Chrisan. She is an absolute dream to work with and made me feel at ease because I was a bit nervous. Chisan assisted with putting this gorgeous bright red dress on to ensure everything was tucked and properly fitted. No detail went unnoticed throughout the entire photoshoot. From start to finish she was there to ensure everything was perfect.
Our photographer Donavan Morrison was as professional as they come. He and his staff helped guide us into beautiful poses while keeping the energy high. With Donovan and Chisan’s encouragement, I was able to break past the limitations of my own mind and be completely at ease throughout the session. Donovan showed us the poses and how they turned out along the way, which motivated us to keep trying to be creative. We were more than satisfied with the results.
Within 72 hours I received a link to view our raw images and selected the ones we wanted edited. About two weeks later we received our edited images. Fast. Hassle-free. Professional. I still cannot believe that’s ME in the photos. We plan to book again in the future. Absolutely a 10 out of 10 experience!
